Knuckle Boom Picker Safety Training
Our 1-day on site program is for all Light Duty Knuckle Boom Cranes That Lift LESS than 8 tons (Alberta) or 5 tons (Saskatchewan and B.C).

In short, you do need to provide a comprehensive training program on the equipment you provide to your operators.
In this program your operator will learn the following:
- Crane and Load Control Techniques
- Tag line talk
- Comprehensive Pre Use Inspections
- Safety Regulations and Provincial OHS Standards
- Load chart identification and comprehension
- Knuckle Boom Crane Fundamentals
- Preventative Maintenance Procedures
- Principles of Balance, Stability and Capacity
- Safe Operations for Applicable Designations
- Control systems and where to stand with each type
- Proper PPE for crane operations
- What to do when using a signal – rigger
Upon successful completion of the knuckle boom picker operator safety training your operators will receive:
- Certificate (3 year renewal period)
- Laminated Wallet Card
- End of day training summary
- Full documentation provided to update your SECOR and Insurance files (*extra fee for this)
Course Overview:
- 1 day in duration
- Morning Theory (approx. 3.5 – 4 hours) start time is 8:00 am unless otherwise requested
- Afternoon practical evaluation (1:00pm until completion)
